Khyber Pakhtunkhawa: Two more cases of polio virus have been reported in Pakistan. After the virus was confirmed in two more children, the number of children affected by polio has increased to 52 this year.
According to officials, both the children affected by polio belong to Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A 36-month-old girl and an 18-month-old boy were crippled by polio in Tehsil Darazanda of Dera Ismail Khan.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during this year, the number of children affected by polio has increased to 13.
Highest number of children affected by polio are in Balochistan. Thirteen children have been infected with polio so far in Sindh and one child each in Punjab and Islamabad, says authorities.
