Karachi (August 5, 2017): Police claimed to have arrested two dacoits and two gangsters in separate raids in different areas of the metropolis Karachi on Friday night. Police conducted raids in areas of Lyari, and Ferozabad. SSP Irfan Baloch said that three dacoits were looting citizens in Frozabad when they met with a police patrolling party. The suspects opened fire on police and the exchange of fire between police and dacoits led to the arrest of two, while one managed to escape, he added. The two dacoits received bullet injuries and later they were shifted to a nearby hospital.
During another search operation in Sango Lane, police detained at least two gangsters. The arrested gangsters were identified as Nadeem alias ‘Langra’ and Aurangzeb. They were involved in Lyari gang war, police said. Police recovered a large amount of drugs and imported liquor from the suspects.
