Quetta (June 20, 2018): Two Killed, one injured in firing over a police van on Wednesday.

According to the details, firing incident took place in Nawan Kili area, where unidentified men opened indiscriminate fire over a police van, which resulted in the death of father and son of the sub-inspector, Abdul Samad, whereas he sustained injuries.

The bodies and injured were rushed to the CMH Quetta, while the LEAs have cordoned off the area and started the search operation.CTD Kills Four Terrorists In QuettaEarlier, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed killing Four terrorists in a three-hour-long operation in Dashta area of Balochistan.

According to the CTD spokesperson, a woman is among the deceased terrorists while four security officials were injured in the operation.

It was stated that the CTD was transporting an under-custody terrorist to assist in an operation when the shootout took place.

CTD officials said one terrorist was shot dead by security personnel, one blew himself up killing no one else while the under-custody terrorist was killed in firing from terrorists.

Rescue officials said a five-year-old boy was also brought dead to the hospital and was said to have been killed as a result of the operation.However, the minor’s killing could not be confirmed by CTD officials.

Earlier on June 16, three levies personnel were martyred in Quetta’s Sariab area on Friday, the police confirmed.

Unknown assailants opened fire on a vehicle carrying the levies personnel in the city’s Killi Bangulzai vicinity.Earlier on April 24,  at least Five Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were killed and several sustained injuries in three suicide blasts and simultaneously firing targeting FC camp in Mian Ghandi and airport road,  Quetta, ISPR said.

According to military media wing ISPR, first two suicide blasts occurred near FC camp. The area was cordoned off immediately after the incident.

Sources said that two suicide attackers below themselves near FC camp in Mian Ghandi, however two of them killed in firing by FC personnel and seven personnel wounded.In third attack targeting police van suicide attacker below himself near airport road, in which five personnel of Balochistan Constabulary martyred and other suffered injuries.

There were also reports of intense gunfire in the wake of the blast.

Balochistan had faced a number of security challenges in recent months, with security personnel in the province often being targeted in roadside explosions and suicide attacks.
