QUETTA: Two suspected robbers were killed and another was injured during an exchange of fire with police near Ghazi Steel Mill on Sibi Road, police said.
According to police, officers reached the area after receiving information that a robbery was being attempted. A gunbattle broke out when the suspects opened fire, leaving all three suspects wounded.
Police said two of the injured suspects later died while undergoing treatment, while the third was shifted to a hospital for medical care.
Two police officials also sustained injuries in the firing, according to authorities.
The deceased were identified as Shafiullah and Noor Ahmed, while the injured suspect was identified as Zaheer Ahmed.
Police said three pistols and three motorcycles were recovered from the suspects following the encounter.
