QUETTA, August 17: Security forces killed two terrorists and wounded three others during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan, security sources said on Monday.
The operation was launched in the Killi Zaik area after intelligence indicated the presence of militants between Killi Zaik and Kaghli, approximately 12 kilometres north of the Baseema camp.
According to the sources, an intense exchange of fire took place when security personnel engaged the terrorists. Two militants were killed, while three others sustained injuries.
One of the slain terrorists was identified as Mushtaq Ahmed, also known by the alias Koh-e-Yar, the sources said.
The operation was part of ongoing efforts by security forces to dismantle militant networks and prevent terrorist activities in the province.
