ISLAMABAD: Three-member U.S. Congressional delegation included Jack Bergman and Tom Suozzi has arrived in Islamabad, the group will be visiting Pakistan until April 15.
The sources stated that the delegation is scheduled to meet with the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister of Pakistan. In addition, meetings with the country’s top military leadership are also planned.
Diplomatic sources further revealed that discussions during the visit will focus on the economy, trade, defense and military relations, and education.
According to sources, the U.S. delegation is also likely to meet with the leadership of various political parties. The delegation is expected to visit Azad Kashmir and the Line of Control (LoC) as well.
The purpose of the U.S. Congressional delegation’s visit is to promote and strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United States.
Sources added that National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq will host a dinner in honor of the U.S. Congress members tomorrow.
