WASHINGTON: The spokesperson for the US State Department, Tammy Bruce, expressed hope that, President Donald Trump could succeed in resolving the Kashmir issue during his term in office.

Bruce made this statement in the context of the recent visit of a Pakistani delegation led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to the United States.

The spokesperson confirmed that, the Pakistani delegation met with US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Alison Hooker, during which both parties reaffirmed their support for US efforts regarding the ceasefire between Pakistan and India. The meeting also covered bilateral relations and counter-terrorism cooperation.
