U.S. President Trump offered direct negotiations to Iran

WASHINGTON: The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has offered Iran direct negotiations.

According to foreign media, in a conversation with reporters, President Trump said it would be better to have direct talks with Iran because it is a faster process and gives you a better opportunity to understand the other party compared to negotiating through a mediator.

President Trump mentioned that Iran wanted to use intermediaries, but perhaps that is no longer the case.

He suggested that Iran may be willing to engage in direct talks.

Previously, Iran had rejected the possibility of direct negotiations but had indicated its readiness for indirect talks.
