WASHINGTON: The United States has emphasized the importance of finding a responsible solution to the issues between Pakistan and India.
Spokesperson for the US State Department Tammy Bruce stated during a press briefing that such a solution should ensure long-term peace and regional stability.
US is in contact with the governments of both countries at various levels and is monitoring the situation in the region.
Bruce further mentioned that, US Secretary of State had spoken with Pakistani Prime Minister on Wednesday, and Senator Marco Rubio had also spoken with Indian Foreign Minister J. Shankar on the same day.
She added that, for peace and regional stability in South Asia, both countries should work towards a responsible resolution.
