UAE confers highest civilian honor on Pakistani ambassador

ABU DHABI: The United Arab Emirates has awarded Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, the prestigious First Class Order of Zayed II, in recognition of his exemplary service.

The accolade was presented during a ceremony in Abu Dhabi, honoring Ambassador Tirmizi’s efforts over the past three years to enhance and deepen the diplomatic and economic relations between Pakistan and the UAE.

At the event, UAE Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar bestowed the award, while messages from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Deputy Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan were also delivered to the ambassador.

In his remarks, Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi highlighted that the honor reflects the collective efforts of Pakistan’s diplomatic mission and the Pakistani community in the UAE. He expressed gratitude to the UAE leadership, the embassy team, and the vibrant Pakistani diaspora for their support.

The ambassador further appreciated the confidence placed in him by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He stated that the award stands as a testament to the enduring and strong bonds of friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE.
