ISLAMABAD: Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, arrived in Pakistan today for a one-day official visit.
Preparations in Islamabad were made to offer a warm welcome. The UAE president will meet Pakistan’s political and military leaders to discuss mutual interests, regional matters, and ways to enhance cooperation.
The visit is expected to strengthen ties in trade, investment, energy, infrastructure, and economic sectors, with reviews of ongoing projects and exploration of new partnerships, as per the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
To mark the occasion, Islamabad has declared a public holiday. Federal government offices, the Pakistan Secretariat, Senate, National Assembly Secretariats, Islamabad High Court, and district courts are closed. Hospitals, banks, emergency services, and other essential services will remain operational.
