ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is set to host UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today for a one-day official visit, featuring ceremonial honors and high-level meetings to bolster Pak-UAE ties.
Invited by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, this marks Sheikh Mohammed’s first visit to Pakistan as UAE president. Accompanied by ministers and senior officials, his presence underscores the visit’s significance.
Islamabad has declared a public holiday, with streets adorned with Pak-UAE flags, leader portraits, and decorative lights to welcome the guest warmly.
Upon entering Pakistani airspace, the president’s aircraft will receive an aerial salute from Pakistan Air Force fighter jets, highlighting strong bilateral relations.
Sheikh Mohammed is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Pakistani president, and engage in delegation-level talks. These discussions aim to expand cooperation in investment, trade, energy, development, and long-term partnerships, focusing on strategic ties in the Gulf region.
