United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has welcomed the agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran for the resumption of diplomatic relations.
In a statement United Nations spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric expressed the gratitude of the UN Secretary-General to China for hosting the recent talks between the two countries.
The UN spokesperson said that good neighborly relations between the Saudi Arabia and Iran are imperative for the stability of the Gulf region.
