ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party(PPP) leader Senator Rehman Mailk has sent a letter to United Nations Human Rights Commissioner, pleading him to play his role for release of Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik from prison in Indian-Occupied Kashmir, where his health condition has deteriorated due to torture and solitary confinement over two months.
The PPP leader has demanded of the UN HRC to constitute a team to meet Malik in the Held-Kashmir prison. He further said that JKLF chief should be shifted to any other country for treatment as his health condition has deteriorated.
It is to be mentioned here that the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front Chairmen was arrested on the evening of 8th July 2016 and from then he has been behind the bars at different police stations, jails and torture centers of the Occupation forces.
Malik is ill for a long time as he is being kept in solitary confinement. Due to the solitary and torturous confinement his health condition deteriorated considerably. Doctors many times advised the authorities to take care of his ill health but was being kept in solitary confinement and torturous condition.
