LAHORE: Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Siraj-ul-Haq has said that poverty and unemployment have multiplied in the three-year tenure of PTI.
In his statement, Siraj-ul-Haq said that majority of the people were dissatisfied with the policies of PTI government and wanted to get rid of the present system. The country is without electricity for six to eight hours. Commodity prices rose by 35 to 100 percent.
Siraj-ul-Haq termed transparent elections as a condition for sustainable democracy and said that the culture of money and force must be eradicated in elections. For sustainable democracy, the Election Commission will have to become an independent and sovereign body.
Sirajul Haq added that the Domestic Violence Bill was an attack on Islamic values and a conspiracy to destroy the family system. Sending the bill to the Islamic Ideological Council is a positive development
