Unprovoked firing by Afghan forces was responded befittingly: IG FC

Chaman (May 07, 2017): Inspector General FC Balochistan Major General Nadeem Ahmed on Sunday said that Afghan border police firing was responded befittingly.

Talking to media in Chaman, the IG FC said that the unprovoked firing was responded befittingly wherein over 50 Afghan soldiers were killed and over 100 injured. He further said that many check posts of afghan forces were also destroyed.

He added that they were not happy by inflicting losses on Afghanistan, but made it clear that no one would be allowed to violate Pakistan borders.

He added that Afghan forces were responsible for the incident. He added that after the incident Afghan security forces requested for ceasefire on May 5 which was accepted.

He warned that if the episode was repeated then harsher response would be given. He added that regarding Delhi-Kabul nexus, the stance of political leadership was very clear.
