ISLAMABAD: The upper parts of the country are in grip of severe cold as weather remained cold and dry and temperature in Skardu fell eight degree below the freezing point.
According to Met Office, weather will remain cold and dry in most parts of the country in next 24 hours.
It added that the thick fog would continue to blanket the plains of Punjab and upper Sindh areas in morning time, while the Northern areas and Northern Balochistan will be in grip of severe cold wave.
Met Office recorded lowest temperature at Skardu -8.0°C, Hunza -6.0°C, Gopis -5.0°C, Gilgit and Kalam -4.0°C, Astore and Parachinar -3.0°C.
