Legendary Chef Zakir Qureshi Passes Away at 58 – Culinary World Mourns a Giant

Renowned Pakistani culinary maestro Chef Zakir Qureshi has passed away at the age of 58, leaving behind a rich legacy in the world of food and television.

Born in 1967, Chef Zakir became a household name through his iconic presence on Masala TV, where he hosted live cooking shows that inspired home cooks and professional chefs alike. With a mastery over both local and international cuisine, he taught thousands of recipes, techniques, and kitchen hacks to generations of food lovers.

Chef Zakir had been suffering from a chronic kidney disease and was undergoing dialysis treatments. His passing was confirmed by celebrity chef Samia Lari, and tributes have poured in across social media.

Funeral prayers will be held at Jamia Rashidia, Malir, Saudabad, Karachi after Asr prayers on Tuesday. He will be laid to rest at Saudabad Graveyard.
