ISLAMABAD: US Ambassador Paul Jones called on the adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh in Islamabad on Friday.
The meeting discussed bilateral ties and underlined the need to further expand the scope of cooperation. Hafeez Sheikh briefed the envoy about the steps being taken by the incumbent government for macroeconomic stabilization.
“Pakistan offers a friendly environment for investment. US businessmen should take benefit from these investment opportunities,” he added.
The US Ambassador congratulated the Adviser on the assumption of charge. He reiterated that economic and commercial relations between the two countries needed to be further strengthened.
The meeting emphasised to restructure bilateral ties and focus more on promoting investment relationship.
