ISLAMABAD: A delegation of US Embassy has called on Ameer Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence. The meeting discussed the overall situation in the region and issues of mutual interest, including a political solution to the Afghan conflict. The delegation included Political Counselor Richard Nelsor, Political Economic Section Chief Andrea Hillier and Political Officer Melissa Crawford. Aslam Ghauri, Central Secretary, Information and Broadcasting, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), said that the situation in the region and issues of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting with Maulana Fazlur Rehman. The meeting also discussed the political situation in Afghanistan and other related issues
