WASHINGTON: US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker said Washington condemns the attack in the strongest possible terms, noting that both security forces and civilians were deliberately targeted.
She pointed out that the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army, which is designated by the US as a foreign terrorist organisation, has claimed responsibility for the violence.
Expressing sympathy on behalf of the American people, Baker offered heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families, emphasizing that Pakistanis deserve to live without the threat of fear and bloodshed.
She reaffirmed that the United States remains committed to partnering with Pakistan to promote peace and stability, stressing that Washington stands shoulder to shoulder with Islamabad and continues to support its efforts to combat terrorism during this challenging period.
