The exchange rate of US Dollar strengthened by 77 paisa in the interbank on Tuesday against Pakistani rupee.
The greenback closed at Rs165.20 on second business day of the week compared to previous closing of Rs164.43.
Since start of August, dollar has risen by Rs1.53. Dollar has crossed 165 level mark after September 30, 2020. The greenback has gained almost Rs12.92 in four months.
Rising dollar will increase pressure on debt payments by Rs1400 billion.
