WEB DESK: The United States has proposed a draft resolution in the UN Security Council to secure and defend freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
The resolution proposed alongside Washington’s Gulf partners including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait and Qatar requires Iran to cease attacks, mining, and tolling in the Strait.
