US urges India, Pakistan to defuse tension on borders

WASHINGTON: United States Department of State spokespersons John Kirby stressed upon India and Pakistan to defuse the prevailing tension on borders through bilateral dialogues.

While addressing the daily press briefing in Washington, Kirby said that they were in contact with Islamabad and New Delhi so as to resolve the issues between the two countries.

Kirby said that they agreed with the IAEA that Iran did exceeded by a small amount the heavy water stockpile that the deal requires them to have. He said that they had made it clear to Iran that they wanted to see this resolved quickly.

He said US State Department issued details about weapons in Afghanistan and other countries. Kirby said that US saved the lives of thousands of people in different countries by defusing landmines. He continued that US removes unexploded bomb and other weapons from various countries of the world.

He said that the newly elected president of the United States was choosing his team.
