WEB DESK: Usman Mukhtar pens a heartfelt apology to the late Sana Yousaf on behalf of men, over our society’s failure in raising boys to be better humans.
Usman wrote in his post, Sorry, Sana! Sorry we raise our boys to believe ‘no” is a challenge, not an answer, Sorry we teach them bruised egos matter more than women’s lives.
The 17 year old girl was shot dead on saying “no”.
“Sorry we’ll blame your clothes, your smile, your audacity to say no, instead of the murderer, Sorry that a girl saying ‘no’ is a death sentence,, and a boy pulling a trigger is just another tragedy”,
He further wrote, Sorry, Sana. We don’t raise men anymore. We manufacture monsters.
According to Islamabad police, the main suspect in Sana’s murder has been detained. Islamabad IG Syed Nasir Ali Rizvi announced that a 22-year-old man was arrested from Faisalabad. The police official revealed that the suspect “rejected her again and again,” implying a motive rooted in rejection or personal vendetta.
The police are investigating the case further, and authorities have called for increased vigilance to protect young influencers from such violent acts.
This tragic event highlights the urgent need for better security measures and mental health support for youth engaged in social media. The community mourns the loss of Sana Yousaf and calls for justice.
