RAWALPINDI: On Thursday, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev conducted an official visit to Global Industrial & Defence Solutions (GIDS), accompanied by members of his delegation.
Field Marshal Asim Munir welcomed the Uzbek leader and his entourage upon their arrival at the facility.
During the visit, the Uzbek president was given an overview of GIDS’s extensive range of offerings, including cutting-edge defence technologies, manufacturing capabilities, and innovative industrial solutions.
The delegation inspected various key sites within the facility and observed a range of defence systems that showcase Pakistan’s expanding proficiency in indigenous defence manufacturing and industrial growth.
This visit emphasized the mutual desire of Pakistan and Uzbekistan to strengthen cooperation in defence, technology, and industrial development. Both nations highlighted the significance of fostering partnerships, exchanging expertise, and establishing joint ventures.
The engagement represented a meaningful stride toward enhancing bilateral relations and exploring diverse opportunities for collaboration between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
