WEB DESK: Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor has expressed her admiration for renowned Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, who stars alongside her in the upcoming Hindi film “Abir Gulaal.”
During a recent interview on FM, she lauded Khan’s talent, stating, “He was born to work in films,” and named him her favorite actor. Kapoor shared her fond experience working with Fawad, describing him as “supportive” and noting her genuine enjoyment during their time together on set.
The excitement surrounding “Abir Gulaal” continues to grow, particularly with the release of its second song, “English Rang Rasiya,” on April 18, which quickly amassed 2.8 million views shortly after its debut. This follows the success of the film’s first track, “Khudaya Ishq,” which also garnered significant attention.
As anticipation builds for the film, a brief teaser was shared earlier this month, confirming the official release date of May 9. Despite facing threats from Hindu extremist groups regarding Fawad Khan’s appearance in the film and its release in India, the production team remains steadfast in their decision to launch the film as planned.
Notably, a number of Indian celebrities, including Sunny Deol, Sushmita Sen, and Ameesha Patel, have publicly supported Fawad Khan’s return to Bollywood, emphasizing that his presence in Indian cinema is a positive move for cultural exchange between the two nations.
