Voting ends in Senate bye elections , counting of votes underway

Islamabad/Karachi/Quetta: Voting for senate six vacant seats has been ended.

As many as 301 members of National Assembly (NA) cast their votes while Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also cast his votes.

The polling time also ended in Sindh Assembly on two vacant seats of the Senate.

Out of 162 members, 124 members cast their votes for the senate seats. The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) 116 MPs cast their votes, Sunni Ittehad Council 8 MPAs cast their votes.

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) and Jamat-e-Islami didn’t participate in the senate elections.
