LAHORE: Former Test cricketer Wahab Riaz has been entrusted with the responsibility of providing strategic guidance and aiding the restructuring of the women’s cricket team setup.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Wahab Riaz as a consultant for the Pakistan women’s cricket team.
Sources indicate that Wahab has already been collaborating with the women’s cricket department over recent weeks.
In his temporary position, Wahab will manage team affairs and work closely with the Director of Women’s Cricket to develop plans and strategies for the future.
Additionally, reports suggest that changes are being made to the team’s support staff. Former Test cricketer Imran Farhat is expected to join the coaching and support setup.
The PCB is anticipated to announce the appointment of a new head coach alongside a revamped support staff for the Pakistan women’s cricket team in the near future.
