Wahab Riyaz announces 18-member Pakistani test squad for Australian tour

Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Team newly appointed chief selector Wahab Riyaz following his first task has announced national team test squad for Australian tour.

Wahab Riyaz announced 18-member test squad for Australia visit which included Sarfaraz Ahmed, Khurram Shahzad, Saud Shakeel and Meer Hamza.

Besides that Shan Masood (captain), Shaheen Shah Afridi, Hassan Ali, Muhammad Rizwan, Sayim Ayub, Baber Azam, Amir Jamal, Noman Ali, Abdullah Shafique, Imam Ul Haq, Salman Ali Agha and Abrar Ahmed.

Whereas Harris Rauf has informed the team management that he will not be available for the Australian tour.

Three tests in Australia

Pakistan team will play three tests matches in its tour to Australia.

First test will start from December 14 to 18.Second test to kick off December 26 to 30 while third test will begin from January 3 to 7.

The team will leave for Australia on November 30 from Lahore.

Training Camp in Rawalpindi

Before the tour a training camp will be set up from November 23 to 28 in Rawalpindi. All squad will gather in Rawalpindi on November 22.

Wahab Riyaz said that he don’t worry about criticism adding that Hassan Ali performance in the county season remained good and he has experience as well.

He said that more spinners have been called in the training camp.

Naseem Shah to join the team soon

He apprised that Naseem Shah will be fit after three weeks.
