Kohat (May 25, 2017): A wanted terrorist was killed in an encounter with police on Samari Road in Kohat on Thursday morning.
As per detail, police conducted a raid on Samari Road in Kohat on a tip-off about presence of wanted terrorists. The terrorists lobed hand grenade on the police mobile and opened fire, which ensued an encounter.
In exchange of firing, a terrorist, identified as Inamullah was killed. SHO Lachi Afzal Khan was injured in the grenade attack on the police mobile.
The slain terrorist was involved in attack on Police Station Lachi’s mobile wherein 5 policemen including SHO of the PS were martyred.
On May 20, terrorists had attacked a police patrolling party in Lachi area killing, Station House Officer (SHO) and Additional SHO among five other personnel.
