Karachi: Owing to cable fault in filter plant at Gharo pumping station suspended distribution of water many areasa of Karachi on Sunday.
According to Water Corporation the cable fault happened at 10 35 am in morning on Sundy.
Due to K-electric fault the Gharo pumping station is completely closed. While the cable fault could not be fixed yet.
As per Water Corporation spokesman its administration is constantly in contact with the K-electric.
Gharo pumping station provides 30 MGD water to Karachi daily.
The spokesman said that owing to closure of Gharo pumping station water will not be supplied to Port Qasim, Bin Qasim Town, Shah Faisal Town, PNS Mehran, PAF base Faisal and Karsaz areas.
