KARACHI: Near Jail Chowrangi, Water tanker collided with a motorcycle killed one citizen at the spot.
According to the police, the water tanker driver were allegedly racing at the time of the incident, during which the motorcyclist was hit.
Rescue authorities confirmed that the motorcyclist died in the traffic accident. The identity of the deceased person has not yet been determined.
The police reported that angry individuals set fire to five water tankers near Jail Chowrangi. However, the fire brigade managed to extinguish the fire on the tankers.
On the other hand, Sindh’s Minister of Interior, Zia Lanjar, has taken notice of the tanker-burning incident near Jail Chowrangi. According to an official statement, the Interior Minister has requested a report from the police authorities.
It is worth mentioning that since January 1, 2025, over 100 citizens have been reported dead in various traffic accidents in Karachi.
