Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has expressed the commitment to address the water related issues of Islamabad in the next one to two years.
He expressed these views while addressing the signing ceremony of an agreement between PCRWR and CDA in Islamabad on Thursday.
He said water issue had always been a major issue in Islamabad which would now be resolved with the help of latest technology.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Science and Technology Syed Shibli Faraz said steps are being taken to secure the rain water from wastage in the best interest of the country.
The Minister said that we don’t want creation of tanker mafia in Islamabad. The water project will end the biggest water problem of citizen of Islamabad.
He said that steps are being taken to save rain water so that it can’t be wasted adding that we should take measures so that under the ground storage of water can be possible.
