Not to allow theft of votes, protect ballot boxes in KHI local govt bye polls on November 14 : JI Chief

Karachi: Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chief Munam Zafar Khan has urged the people of constituencies going to local government elections to leave their house and cast their votes.

While talking to media at the occasion of Inaugurating a park in Landhi town, the JI Karachi chief said that if God willing we will protect votes no let any theft of votes.

He said that the JI Pakistan Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman has declared “tarazo” a symbol of development and justice.

Munam Zafar Khan stressed the people leaving their house for protection of the ballot boxes.

He said that when Karachi will succeed eventually Pakistan will get success.

He said that there were not any facility to youth and play grounds were destroyed.

He apprised that we have reconstructed as many 115 parks so far and the initiative is underway.
He said that Landhi Town has been developed under the ” Sanwarta Landhi”.

He promised that we will give more parks and play grounds for the youth of the city.

A total of 68 candidates are contesting for 10 vacant local government seats in Karachi, with polling scheduled for November 14.

For the by-elections on these 10 seats, 167 polling stations have been established, all of which have been classified as sensitive or highly sensitive.

The vacant seats include the vice-chairman of UC-5 Yaseenabad in Gulberg Town, chairman of UC-7 Liaquatabad Town, and member of UC-10 Baldia Town, Ward 4.

Other seats up for election include member of UC-7 Korangi Town, Ward 1; chairman of UC-7 Model Colony Town; chairman of UC-6 Landhi Town; chairman of UC-9 Malir Town; member of UC-7 Ibrahim Hyderi Town, Ward 4; chairman of UC-13 Saddar Town; and member of UC-5 Manghopir Town, Ward 4.

A total of 295,491 people, including 157,617 men and 137,874 women voters, are eligible to cast their votes in these constituencies.
