WASHINGTON: Mike Pompeo, secretary of state on foreign affairs of the United States of America (USA) has said that they do not want to wage a war with Iran and will take whatever steps to stop Iran from provoking a war, AbbTakk news reported on Monday.
In an interview with American channel, he said that Iran is involved in carrying out attacks on oil tankers in the Arabian Ocean and the US had concrete proofs on it which will be revealed before the world soon.
Mike Pompeo has said that the tension between the nations was ignited after an attack was carried on oil tankers. On the other hands, the Iranian government had denied to carry out any such attack on oil tankers.
He said that the US will take every possible step to stop Iran from waging a war. The steps include diplomatic pressure and a safe route for the oil tankers.
