MIRPUR: A woman on late Monday night consumed poisonous tablets with five of her daughters in Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s (AJK) city of Mirpur after being dispirited from a dispute with her husband at home.
The heart-rending incident took place in Smahini post of the city, an area which is affiliated with Line of Control (LoC).
According to police, all five children were shifted to DHQ Mirpur whereas two of them died during treatment.
The five girls are aged between 2.5 to 10 years, police added.
