OKARA: Authorities in Okara are investigating the deaths of a woman and her three young children after their bodies were discovered inside a house in Jandraka village on Saturday.
According to police, the deceased were identified as 42-year-old Faiza, her 10-year-old daughter Dua Fatima, and seven-year-old twin sons, Dawood and Junaid. Their bodies were recovered from the residence of Muhammad Riaz, also known as Gullu.
Following the discovery, police shifted the bodies to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for post-mortem examinations to determine the exact cause of death.
District Police Officer (DPO) Asad Ejaz Malhi visited the scene, where investigators collected forensic evidence and began a detailed inquiry into the incident.
Police said Muhammad Riaz, the head of the family, had recently returned from overseas and worked as a driver in Jandraka. However, he was not present at the house when officers arrived.
SP Investigation Malik Dawood stated that investigators are examining every possible angle, adding that the circumstances surrounding the deaths remain unclear and no conclusion has yet been reached.
