Chitral: For the first time in chitral’s history a women’s football team was established in the Chitral Valley.
National footballer Karishma Ali founded Chitral Women’s FC under her foundation, the team includes 16 women’s players from the valley, National women’s footballer Karishma Ali said that 6 player in Chitral Women’s FC have represented KP in the past in the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme.
She said that during the last six months, camps were set up in Karimabad and Madakalisht, where the team was formed based on the trials of the players. Karishma Ali said that the Chitral Women’s FC team will participate in the tournament in Islamabad next year.
Aside from her football career, Karishma is lauded for her social work and dedication to her people, she has founded the Chitral Women’s Sports Club to uplift the position of girls in sports, particularly football the club is the first women’s sports club in Chitral
