WEB DESK: World day of Social Justice is being observed across the sphere today.

World Social Day provides an opportunity to foster dialogue with stakeholders on actions needed to strengthen social contract that has been fractured by rising inequalities, conflicts and weakened institutions meant to protect the rights of workers.

Momentum is growing for the concept that advancing social justice should be the central aim guiding all national and international policies. This idea has gained traction among proponents who argue it enables societies and economies to function more cohesively when social justice is prioritized.

Supporters contend that promoting decent work and a fair globalization agenda focused on fundamental rights. , employment opportunities, social protections, and constructive social dialogue between governments, employers, and workers is key to putting social justice at the core.

On the other hand, on the World Day of Social Justice, India has deprived people of its illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and minorities in the country especially Muslims of social justice and basic rights.

In a statement in Srinagar, spokesman of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference said Kashmiris have been struggling for their rights for the past seven decades but India has been keeping them deprived of their UN-mandated rights under international law

However, proposals to advance social justice include improving inclusive and effective governance of work, ensuring employment opportunities and lifelong learning, reforming institutions for fairer labor market outcomes, and extending social protections across peoples’ lifetimes. An integrated approach across all these areas is touted.
