World Diabetes Day is being observed today (Sunday) to raise awareness and educate people about the disease.
According to International Diabetes Federation, 366 million people have diabetes worldwide, while the number is predicted to rise to 552 million by the year 2030.
This year Theme of the Day is “access to diabetes care”.
Health experts term diabetes a silent killer and advised people to make physical exercise a part of their daily routine to save themselves from the disease.
The diabetes are spreading in all parts of the country. Experts say people needed awareness and proper guidance about the disease.
They said that people had to change their lifestyle, maintain their body weight and make physical exercise a part of their routine to avoid the disease.
