WEB DEDK: Tomorrow, Youm-e-Istehsal will be observed nationwide to show support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and to denounce India’s unlawful and unilateral move on August 5, 2019. On this date, India revoked Jammu and Kashmir’s special status through a controversial and illegal action, which has been widely condemned by the international community, Kashmiris, and Pakistan alike.
Various events have been organized to mark the day. A major rally will be held on Constitution Avenue in Islamabad, involving participants from diverse backgrounds, including federal ministers and parliament members. The ceremony will feature sirens and a one-minute silence at 9:00 AM to honor the sacrifices of Kashmiris.
Similar rallies and demonstrations will take place across all four provinces, as well as in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Radio Pakistan will broadcast special programs highlighting the resilience of Kashmiri people and shedding light on the ongoing human rights abuses in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
