Younis Khan announces to retire from international cricket

KARACHI:  Pakistan top test batsman Younis Khan on Saturday announced his retirement from international cricket.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Khan said that West Indies tour would be his last series and after that he would retire from the longest format of the game too.

The move comes just two days after Test skipper Misbah ul Haq announced his retirement from Test cricket.

He said that he wanted to say good bye to the game in honorable way.  He thanked his family, Cricket Board, colleagues, and fans for the support he was extended during his illustrious career.

He hailed ODI and T-20 captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, saying that he has the potential to lead the team to glory.

Khan is just 23 runs away from the 10,000-runs mark in Test cricket and is expected to achieve the mark in the upcoming Test series against West Indies.
