MULTAN: Former Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani has decided to contest the Senate elections.
According to the spokesperson of Gilani House, Yusuf Raza Gilani has submitted nomination papers for the Senate election. Spokesman Gilani House said that the nomination papers have been submitted to the election commission by lawyers on behalf of Yousaf Raza Gilani, but the decision will be taken as to who will contest the election on the vacant seat of Yusuf Raza Gilani.
Earlier, news came out that PPP has decided to make Senator Yusuf Raza Gilani as the candidate for Senate Chairman. People close to Yusuf Raza Gilani said that he wants to be a part of the National Assembly.
It should be remembered that Yusuf Raza Gilani was elected as a senator from Islamabad, his tenure is still 3 years, if he becomes the chairman of the Senate, he will leave the National Assembly seat.
