LAHORE: YouTuber Rajab Butt and TikToker Nadeem Mubarak had their interim bail extended in a case involving the promotion of gambling applications during a court hearing on Monday.
The proceedings were presided over by Additional Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmed Qureshi, who addressed the allegations concerning advertisements for illegal gambling platforms. Both individuals appeared in court to mark their attendance.
Following arguments from both parties, the judge decided to extend their interim bail until March 6. He also directed the investigation officer from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency to accelerate the inquiry process. The case was initiated and is being pursued by the agency as part of its ongoing efforts to address the issue.
The investigation stems from an FIR filed last year by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency against Rajab Butt for reportedly promoting gambling platforms on his social media accounts. The allegations cite platforms such as Binomo, 1xBet, Bet365, and B9 Game, accusing them of deceiving users by taking their money under false pretenses without delivering promised payouts or returns.
