Lahore: Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee Zaka Asharaf has tendered his resignation today.
Sources said Zaka Ashraf resigned from the chairman of PCB management committee and member Board of Governors.
Zaka Ashraf said that he was working on to bring improvement in the country adding that this way it is difficult for us to continue our work.
It is merit to mention that Inter-Provincial Ministry meeting chaired by Federal Minister Fawad Hussain Fawad on yesterday had given task of conducting the PCB election to chairperson PCB management committee.
Yesterday Caretaker government had decided to take assistance of the law ministry in holding of the Pakistan Cricket Board Elections.
The decision was taken in an important meeting chaired by Federal Minister Fawad Hussain Fawad.
In the light of opinion of the law ministry the PCB future will be decided.
The PCB management committee chairman Zaka Ashraf, Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer while the officials of the ministry of inter-province coordination were also in attendance in the meeting.
The meeting took a review of the matters of the PCB. The meeting decided the PCB management committee will continue work.
Fawad Hussain Fawad,at the occasion said that everyone wanted improvement of the PCB.
The PCB has called a meeting for the formation of the Board of the directors on January 16. However the meeting was cancelled on the direction of the inter-provincial coordination ministry.
The PCB has a right under the constitution for the formation of the board of the directors.
