KARACHI: Former President and co-chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and his sister Faryal Talpur have filed petitions seeking pre-arrest bails in Fake Bank Accounts and Mega Money Laundering cases in Sindh High Court (SHC) here on Tuesday.
As per details, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned the former president on March 20. He has submitted a pre-arrest bail request in SHC.
The former president in his petition stated that he has suffered for 11 years in prison and all the allegations were not proved against him so the court should order to refrain from arresting him.
The case is fixed for hearing after some time.
The Zardari has also challenged the banking court’s verdict of transferring the case from Karachi to Rawalpindi.
Zardari has also challenged NAB’s call-up notice in another petition.
According to sources within the accountability watchdog the former president and chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari are shareholders of Park Lane State Company.
Both leaders have been summoned on March 20 in Lahore in context to the inquiry in Park Lane State Company.
