Lahore (March 09, 2018): The co-chairman Pakistan People’s Party Asif Ali Zardari has accelerated the momentum of efforts to get the support for his Senate chairman candidate as he contacted head of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sirajul Haq on phone and sought his support.
According to sources Asif Ali Zardari has started to contact political parties having small number of seats in upper house.

He called on JI Ameer and requested him for support to his chairman senate candidate, however Siraj told him the decision will be taken by the JI Shura.
Jamaat-e-Islami has two seats in Senate but these seats have become precious and both major parties keeping eyes on JI to get its support.
PML-N Accelerates Campaign For Senate Chairman
PML delegation headed by Governor Sindh Mohammad Zubair visited MQM-Pakistan Bahadurabad office to get support for Chairman and Deputy Chairman senate election.
According to sources PML-N sought Farooq Sattars’ support for N-League chairman Senate candidate, however Farooq Sattar has expressed his reservations for not fulfilling promise regarding Karachi package and construction of university in Hyderabad by the federal government.
Farooq complaint “Several issues are being in pending since former prime minister tenure,” on which Senator Mushahidullah said they came there on the directives of Nawaz Sharif and has the plan to redress all issues.
Talking on the occasion, governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair said that the lot of development has been made in Karachi package and constrution of Hyderabad university.
Mushahidullha praised Farooq Sattar for accomplishing what promised he made with PML-N and said that he wanted to bring Farooq to meeting with Buhadarabad group in an attempt to reunite both faction of the MQM.
