ISLAMABAD: The federal government has officially appointed Zille-Huma as the Chairperson of the Implementation Tribunal for Newspaper Employees (ITNE) for a period of three years. The Establishment Division issued the formal notification confirming her appointment.
This decision comes after ongoing efforts by Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar to fill the vacant leadership position. In July, Tarar informed a Senate committee that all issues related to the appointment had been resolved and that the official notification would be issued shortly.
The ITNE is responsible for overseeing the enforcement of wage awards and safeguarding the employment rights of newspaper workers, ensuring fair treatment and adherence to labor agreements within the industry.
