Lima (July 18, 2017): A 6.4 magnitude earthquake has jolted southern coast of Peru. The US Geological Survey has reported no immediate reports of injuries or damages.
The quake hit around 9:05 pm local time last night at a depth of 44 kilometers (27 miles) some 220 kilometers west of Arequipa, Peru’s second most populous city.
Though no damage was reported immediately after the quake the tremor provoked alarm among the people a large of whom flocked on the streets for safety.
